Hello all, I'm a beginner animator and also new to the CTA4 scene, so excuse me if the question is completely silly.
I would like to make a simple and cartoonish image of a cat face talk using the morph tool, but as the eyes of the cat are closed, I would like to exclude the eyes from the Morph Face Fitting. If I keep the eyes on the Face Fitting, it creates a "black hole" on the eyes positions. 1) Is it possible to exclude the eyes from the Face Fitting? 2) In the case it's not possible, do you have any other suggestion or workaround to overcome this?
Thank you. Regards, Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo Unfortunately, It is not possible to exclude the eyes during morph based head creation. I'm not sure of the reasons for wanting to use a cat with its eyes closed, but wouldn't it be easier to use an image or drawing with the eyes open to start with? You could then close the eyes using the tools in CTA4 when required. Alternatively, if you really want to use the this particular source image, you could still setup the eye fitting over the closed eyes and then add one of the supplied eye sets from Content Manager. Obviously it won't look as realistic as having a photo with the eyes open to start with but it is a possible workaround. Another option is when setting the fitting points around the cats eyes, place them very close together to mimic the eyes being closed. If you then don't add any eye animation such as blinking then this should also work.

When creating the morph head, create the eyes as well for the cat. Then, make it closed when you animate it.

Thank you for all your replies.
The image/drawing is a logo with a cat and a dog (actually it was the dog that has closed eyes), that's the reason I don't want to deform the image too much, It's extremely stylized with just a few brushes.
I've tried to set the fitting points very close together along the eyes brushes but the it resulted in too much distortion. A question about this process: once you convert an image to morp-based head and then finalize the image processing step (Face Fitting etc), is it possible to redo the face fitting?
Do you think I should try a sprite-based animation, drawing a couple of mouths to achieve this instead?
Thank you again.
