@Peter(RL)
Just to warn you that some products from Marketplace are installing in a wrong subfolder - install made via installcontent.rlcontent, at least, haven't tried the smart gallery plugin yet.
Here are the ones I found, but I assume are not the only ones in the market:

https://marketplace.reallusion.com/basic_chain_mail_armour
https://marketplace.reallusion.com/bath-towel-wrapped
https://marketplace.reallusion.com/amazone-cest-and-longskirt-gold
https://marketplace.reallusion.com/fantasy-chain-mail-leather-body_250424

After install, I was unable to find them, via search, in CC'3 Cloth tab. Looking in the Windows Explorer, I found they were installed in the Cloth root (ie Documents/Template/Character Creator 3 Template/Cloth/) alongside predefined Coats, Full-body, Others, Pants, Shirts and so on subfolders, and CC3 seems didn't like this. I had to move them manually in the Others subfolder in order for CC3 to find them. (as a note, last two items are installed both in an /Amazone folder created by installer, also not shown in CC3)

As a side-not: the RL team in charge with the two stores (Content and Marketplace) could do some bit of cleanup there: there are products marked flashy "New!" even they are 4-5 years old, there are invalid links to Youtube, broken "iframes" tags, Adobe Flash will be discontinued by the end of the year and so on.

Thanks!

RL is not actively managing the Market Place. This has been discussed in the past, but the sheer volume of items makes it impossible. The Content Store is another matter, which is managed and curated by RL.

There should be an automatic check during upload of developer content to the Market Place. However, if something is cloth and it ends up under Cloth, then that is all that is required, although it is messy from an organizational point of view.

There are items that Smart Gallery cannot  find. This is the case with some older packs and even some packs developed by RL.

My understanding is that at some point Smart Gallery will allow the specification of item locations (rather then relying on its built in database), which would alleviate some of the current issues.

Personally I've never liked how cloth items get separated into different folders. I prefer all content of the same pack in 1 single folder. For example if I downloaded the reallusion assassins pack. I would actually prefer a single folder with all items in it, underwear, shirt, pants, shoes etc. Opposed to them being in different folders and having to manually scroll through those folders to find the boots that go with the outfit.

So with that in mind, when I upload content I generally upload my cloth items into a single folder in the "other" section.

Everyone will have their own preferences for how they would prefer their folder setup. And reallusion allows you after you install them, to move them to wherever you want based on your preference. There is never 1 way or solution that will be perfect for everyone.

Also, when you install content. It pops up showing you exactly where that content has been installed. Just click on the link, and if it isn't were you prefer your content. Then move it to where you do prefer it. You are the master of your computer and file system.

If you find content that is showing up in the root directory and not even in the cloth root directory it is best to message that developer directly, as they are the ones that uploaded it and set the directory location, not reallusion. Nearly all of them will be happy to correct it if it is truly not where they intended it to be installed

Hi...

Thanks for the feedback.

The Marketplace consists of stores run by individual vendors.

So for any problems with Marketplace purchases, please contact the seller direct to get the problem resolved. They are obligated to help customers with any complaints they may have if the content has issues. In most cases you should be able to get any problems quickly resolved with the the store owner.
