Hey there guys,

I am having trouble finding high resolution faces online to use them in Headshot. For example, the following result is unusable for me because of the lack of detail and the blurriness, due to low resolution picture (424x640):

Someone here (I think) mentioned an image upscaling software and I thought I'd check it out. It's called GIGAPIXEL A.I. from Topaz Labs.

For me it is a game changer. I tried using it on some low resolution faces (500-1000 pixels at most) and the results were very nice in my opinion. I would recommend this or any image upscaling software you prefer.

Disclaimer: I am in no way associated with this company, I just thought their product could help our results get even better.

Here are some screenshots from Headshot. First of the low resolution result, and then the result after upscaling the image with Gigapixel:

Of course the results need much work in CC3 to be used in IC projects, but that's not the point of this thread.

Do you perhaps use some other software that deserves our attention? Happy to hear any input.

I use Gigapixel as well. It's also handy to improve low resolution textures of props.

I hadn't thought of that to be honest. Now I am even happier and I am certainly gonna purchase it!

I just tried Megapixel AI. It really improves the resolution of images. And you can try, render and keep  images for free for 30 days. I’m not sure if I want to pay $100 for it though. I’ll see when the time comes. Thanks for telling us about it.

I have loads of old content, so for me it is worth it. It all depends. I don't have any Adobe subscriptions, so I save money that way...Tongue

I use this! I even use this on 4k images of heads, normally part of the photo has other things and the head might only be 2 or 3k so I crop the head out and then run it through at 4K or 5K and then I have a REALLY high def photo!!! Love it!!
