My iphone link is working fine but when I preview or record, it stutters inbetween like it works fine for 3 seconds then stucks and then continue to show the motion. My pc is 8gb 250ssd and gtx660. Everything else is running smoothly. I recently bought it and honestly its a waste of money if this is not working or laggy.

Anybody else facing this issue>

Your graphics card is VERY low powered -- I'm actually amazed iClone runs on it.  My suggestion would be to upgrade it (at least a nVidia 1070).

Do you think RTX 2060 is a better option than 1070 or if you want to suggest any better than 1070. Would really like to upgrade to make it smooth. I can pull put a 700$ budget

Right now we know the GTX Titan is the best card for rendering in iClone, bar none.  After that it gets less clear.

The RTX don't appear to be any better for iClone in general, so if it were me (and others can disagree) I'd stick with GTX technology.  And of that, right now the 1080 is your best value for the money.  So IF I were going to get another card for your machine I'd strongly consider it.

But graphics cards (and iClone) change all the time.  Particularly at the end of the year.  If you can find a deal right now to tide you over, I wouldn't spend my entire wad until I was sure I could get everything working the way I wanted to (so a 1070 might well be the ticket).

Thanks for really helping me out. Will you recommend a 1080 over 1070?

The 1080 is definitely a better card.  Performance wise, my 1070 (in my backup machine) is nearly as good as the 1080 I used to have (which I sold to get my Titan).  It all depends on the money you have and what deals you might find (remember the amount of memory the card has is very critical in iClone.  Don't get anything less than 8GB).

so I built another system over the weekend which has 16gb ram, 1080ti 11gb and 256ssd.

The iclone is now running smoothly but is still gets stuck after every 10seconds and then gets fine and then gets stuck again after 15seconds for 2 or 3 seconds and then it becomes smooth and this just keeps happening

I have tried to use it on minimal, custom and quick mode. The problem still exists.

How much space is left on your SSD? iClone use temp files for project restore in case it crashes and these can get quite big. If you have your content there also, space may be tight or will be over time.

If you haven't done so already, put your content on an another drive. The easiest way is to uninstall and reinstall iClone and select a new content location when reinstalling. After you have done that, you can simply move the content over from the system drive to the other drive.

Its again doing the same thing.

But how much space DO you have?

If on one run it's working fine but the next it isn't you may be critically low on space.  Just look and see -- it's easy.  If you don't have at least a few hundred GB on that disk move things around so you do (or get another drive).
