After importing clothes to CC3, the model loses smoothness. You have to do subdivision to make them look good. However, CC3 export retains a lack of smoothness - visible grid planes. What to do to make clothes imported to CC3 and exported from CC3 smooth.

the grid planes are Polygons and all what you need is increase the smooth angle . That has nothing to do with subdivision

If the model has a normal map generated from a high poly bake you generally want the mesh to be completely smooth and allow the normal maps to do the work. In Maya you'd simply select mesh display - soften edge

You are probably right. In Vue2016 I have this option with setting the smoothing angle. I can't handle Marmoset Toolbag - the "tanget space" or "subdivision" change doesn't work on the model exported from CC3. I am still looking for a solution. Thank you for the hints.

All models that I import into Toolbag Marmoset from programs other than CC3 are smooth. However, own models already imported from CC3 have tiling in accordance with the grid (except for the character model). It's some kind of CC3 program error or settings.

Under the Modify menu, select "Edit normals". You can then set the smoothing angle.
This is a different feature than the mesh smoothing, and actually more important.

Yes you are right, it is the same. It didn't get to me the first time, I didn't associate the CC3 menu :-). I watched the movie on YT. Thank you very much. :-)
