As the title asks. Is it? Or can it be used in conjunction with iClone? Have not tried it yet, if someone have please share your first thoughts on the beta or perhaps the released version. I feel like I want to jump right in on the the train right now, an early adopter. What are you'r thoughts?
/Mike

Buy it. Seriously. No point in not getting, man. Just look at the examples posted. It's for iClone but if you wanted to export to other engines it would be fine there as well. There's no end to what you can do with it.

There are a number of issues with older stars: first and foremost is the availability of high-res color photos. In today's world it's a snap to pretty much get something usable from anyone in the last five years or so. Older ones often are B/W (which you can colorize and I think I have a tutorial I've done for this somewhere I need to post). The other issues for females is they tend to pose with an open smile, which is a problem (it can be worked around -- I have another tutorial coming for this. Sigh). Finally, because women are vain (NO! I did NOT say that) they tend to pose correctly, namely they turn their faces so they don't face on to the camera. This is a much more flattering shot than a straight on portrait, but it tends to play havoc with Headshot. I don't really have a good workaround for that. I suspect you'll have your work cut out for you but the best of luck (you *might* want to try someone more recent to get some practice first before you get discouraged).

Only tip I can give you is use a really good quality photo to start with, if the mouth is open you can use the puppet warp in Photoshop to adjust, a few tweaks are easy enough to achieve the perfect portrait shot in PS.

I can concur that it is definitely worth it. Even the Auto mode, which is intended for background characters, gives good results with just one click.
