By the way, a lot of what makes the Digital Humans look good is the 2 extra normals — the Micro Normal and the Normal Blend Map. You can see which maps really make the difference by selectively deleting them. The Base Color Blend Map and SSS effects can be emulated (faked) with Photoshop overlays. There is a technique to blend multiple Normal maps into one that I am experimenting with now. We should be able to emulate most of the Digital Human effects in standard Unity.
P.S. This thread was made before the Digital Human update. I will have to review and update some things since RL is moving forward in development so quickly. Really, it is quite impressive how aggressive their development is lately. It's kind of a nightmare for making tutorials though.
