I posed my character in character creator 3 and hid the sky so that I could render it out as a png with a blank background. All was well until I realised after the render that my actual image has rendered slightly seethrough.
At first I hadnt noticed, but once the image was cropped and put in front of a coloured background it looked washed out.

any ideas?
if you looked at the jacket in the image below, you can see the tiled background (very faintly)
ive also attached my render settings below too.

It looks okay to me in the image you shared,but I don't have any other point of reference for the washed-out look you mentioned.

It is possible your character's opacity got bumped down slightly?  (Can you do that in CC3 like you can in iClone?  I'm not at my iClone computer right now, so I'm just brainstoriming.)
