Can I add a photo as a stage/background in carazytalkanimator 3.31? I was also reading on a website that I may be eligible toupgrade to cartoon animator. Is that true?

Hi...

You can use any photo or drawing as a background, prop etc. Just click the "Create Media" button on the left side toolbar to choose the type of object you wish to create.

Regarding upgrading to Cartoon Animator 4, you can do this but it isn't free unfortunately. Just visit the page below while logged into your Reallusion Account and you will see the upgrade/member price.

You can still create custom characters but that particular method from CTA1 is no longer used. In the Pipeline edition we supply PSD templates to create characters externally in Photoshop or other PSD compatible image editors, or you can simply replace character body parts directly in the CTA3 or CTA4 to create your custom characters.

trying to get this software to work is confusing. I get a lot of sales info, but don't get the info I need to make the right buying choice. I guess I need to know if I can get the old version and is it version 1 or version 2? I want something easy. otherwise I would start learning blender.

It might be good if support could get in touch with me. I don't think I can reach them unless I have an order number. I don't know where that is, but I bet they have it.
