Character Creator 3.04 is getting stuck on the login screen. After about 10 minutes it will tell me Login Failed and the program will close. I have used multiple accounts to try to sign in, and nothing works. I just built a new computer and have an AMD processor instead of Intel (don't believe that would matter), but I never had any issues on my old PC.

Hi...
If you are certain the login details are being entered correctly, then the problem may be related to your security software or permissions settings which may be blocking access to our activation servers.
Please try the following.
1) Try right-clicking the Character Creator 3.04 icon on the Desktop and choose "Run As Administrator".
2) Please temporarily disable any security program - such as software firewall, hardware (router) firewall, antivirus, phishing filter (Internet Explorer), ad-blockers from toolbars - that may interfere with the login process. Once complete, please turn back on.
3) Please check if you are using a proxy server (or VPN) by following the steps below and disable: a) Go to "Control Panel" > "Network & Internet" > "Internet Options" > "Connections" tab > Click on the "LAN Settings..." button b) Please temporarily bypass using a proxy server if you are using one.

Thank you for your reply. I've tried the listed steps, and none of them resolved the issue.

maybe you have activated 2 times cc3 Pipeline on your old PC and you have not uninstalled or deactivated cc3 of your old PC. if that is the case : go to your member page -> registration tab and search the list and find the line corresponding to "Character creator pipeline extension" in the activation column click on (Detail) and then you will be able to deactivate CC3. You will have to reactivate it on your new PC.

Thank you for your suggestion. I deactivated my old computers installation, and activated my new computer. I'm tempted to deactivate my new computer and reactivate it again, but I only have 5 deactivations for one license and am worried about doing that.

I think you'll be okay (but Peter will chime in here). IIRC, although they say "five activations" they are willing to make exceptions and work with you (let's face it, a lot of us go through a lot more than five computers during iClone's lifetime -- I'm thinking of a new one right now and that will be around my sixth or seventh with iClone 7).

I'm really baffled about this issue. If I put the wrong password in, it'll tell me that the account information is wrong. That leads me to believe the information is getting to the authorization server. But then when I put in the right information it hangs on the login screen before failing 10 minutes later.

Bump,
Sorry, but it's really frustrating not being able to use the software. Any other suggestions to try would be helpful. No solution has been found through the support ticket either.

Try login and out of the rl hub, if that fails, ask the guys at support what are the registry keys that hold your username and password. i once did this for another issue but might be related, when i removed those keys i was asked to for the credentials when i loaded the hub again, after that cc3 worked again. Sadly i dont remeber what the registry keys were, something about tokens but i really dont recall exactly what they were. Again this could be related or not but it is worrh a shot.

tbelljr004 (7/26/2019) Thank you for your suggestion. I deactivated my old computers installation, and activated my new computer. I'm tempted to deactivate my new computer and reactivate it again, but I only have 5 deactivations for one license and am worried about doing that. Don't worry about the number of deactivations. These can be reset in genuine cases.
