whatever software you used to make your g2 template, You can use to export as SVC. it's usually in the File menu. Usually labeled export, and file extension is most assuredly labeled SVG. nothing much to explain really.
You can then import your SVG into photoshop. If that's what you're trying to do.
In your original post, you mentioned also converting a G2 photoshop template. Im sure that not what you meant, cause there is no such thing as a photoshop g2 template. Did you mean to ask something different?
Also, the only real difference between g3 and g3 is that g3 is raster-based. Only have one angle. There's no puppeteering and there's no mocap compatibility.
So realistically to convert a g2 into a g3 what you do is delete all the extra angle sprites so that don't have any angles other than the front. Don't use any of the motion features, and if you want to rasterize the sprites, just go to sprite editor, launch them in photoshop, save then, and that will stirp away the resolution independence of vector and convert to raster format.
