Suggestion: It would be nice if it was possible to publish items without having them show up in the Marketplace search.
I have a couple of items, requested by customers, which are on the edge of what is allowed. They don't show anything sexual or graphic but they are definitely adult themed (i.e. adult sex toys). In order to try to keep these out of Market place searches a much as possible I published only an overview page which linked to these items. The overview page did not have any adult content and clearly states that only users who are interested in adult theme content should follow the links. Originally the individual content items were hidden so that they would not appear in Marketplace searches. The idea was that only customers with interest in adult content would follow the links but the items would not show up in Marketplace searches.
However, in the end, I needed to unhide the individual contents because, while hidden, it was possible (with the correct link) to see the content but it was not possible to buy it. Trying to buy it gave a "Not Available For Purchase" message.
While I completely support Reallusion's Marketplace content policy, it could be useful to have an option to publish an item but not have it show up in Marketplace searches. This would allow more risque items to be use with this option so anyone searching the Marketplace will not accidentally run into them but it still allows users to create link pages to their more risque content for new customers, who are interested, to find such content.
For an example of a link page, you can see my Dark Desires Portal page (
https://marketplace.reallusion.com/dark-desires-portal). As you can see, the link page is totally safe to view (since it contains no adult content or graphic nature) but it provides a link to a second page which has links to the individual adult themed contents. If it was possible to keep the individual items hidden but still allow users to buy it, when they are presented with a link to the content, the Marketplace would remain completely clean but users would still be able to sell adult themed content.
Again, I am not suggesting using this to sell pornographic content...I am suggesting this for content that is still within the Reallusion guidelines but that could be more risque for some users.
