We all know that Female 02_Basic Walk is horrible, it doesn't loop properly, it raises one foot higher than the other, the hip doesn't pivot the same amount as the other.
It's fine if you want to animate a character that was walking after being stabbed in the leg?

So I took the time to correct it and make it smooth as butter as possible and made files for use in the Motion Puppet Base Profile.

If you want to try it out yourself:
1) Find/go to the Move folder
*custom location*\Template\iClone 7 Template\iClone Template\Preset\Base Motion\Move
2) Download and open the zip and add all 3 files into that folder.
3) When you want to make a female basic walk just go to Motion Puppet Select Move then select 03_Basic Walk.

I haven't figured out how to change the thumbnails size in the Motion Puppet?
Anyone know how?

Oh wow! I've been complaining about this to Reallusion support. You are a godsend, my man. The walk is so much better now. I wish I knew how you did that.  If you could do the same with the male basic walk, which Peter once ameliorated but is still not perfect, that'd be heaven on earth

First of all great job tweaking crippled female basic walk. Thank you. However, to get an A+ you need to finish it Smile
That walk has 2 more problems.

1. If motion is applied and transform point tweaked to have the right foot firmly on the ground without slipping, the left foot is still sliding back.
Or, if transform is aligned for the left foot, the right foot would be sliding forward. I figured I'll fix the left foot.
Far girl is the default basic walk, nearest girl is the move which you tweaked and the middle one is your move which I tweaked further.

Left foot is on the ground:

Left foot is about to leave the ground. Sliding for couple of inches is quite noticeable even from a distance.

2. The right and left feet placed on the ground asymmetrically. It looks really ugly, when she walks toward camera.

Here is left and right foot (it is the same for the default move and in your file). Her left foot is turned outside, but the right turned inside (though slightly according to Y gizmo)

Here is how it ideally should look like

Hey that works pretty well, I will be using it, thank you.
I just tried it on Jade. The arms were too close to the body and were penetrating the hips but a simple rotate of the arms at the start of the animation solved that.

I forgot, CC3 has great feature to capture the thumbnails. So the motions can be copied to the CC Motion folder, respective motion applied to any avatar, thumbnail captured and then motion files dropped back to the designated preset folders.

Thanks! I'll tweak it even more.

I added keyframes in the Motion Layer under the Puppet Clip to counteract the incorrect alignment. Then I Collected Clip.

This is wonderful, thank you. This will come in so handy.

It makes me wonder why Reallusion wasn't able to fix this sooner (years ago). Is it as simple as the fact that not enough people put in requests to the Feedback Tracker? It seemed like such an obvious problem to be fixed immediately (and seems like a relatively simple fix).

I still wasn't satisfied with it, I tried more tweaking and just didn't fix it to my liking enough.

I just finished today making one from the male basic walk and feminized it.
It's a bit authoritative female walk.
