Anyone have experience with using an image of a character that they have drawn as a uv map for the face in character creator. My art style is caricature from real people and I'd love to be able to use my photoshop art as a UV map for at least the face. I've tried exporting a face uv from CC once i have all the features in place but the map never aligns correctly. Does anyone have videos, hints tips etc to get this to work. I can do it in blender but i wan't to use CC to pull out the shapes and not have to model from scratch. OR better yet does anyone know how to wrap a custom UV map in 3D Coat if this is easier. Here's an example of my artwork that I'm trying to use. Just the face, hair i can model. Thanks

I wonder about this too. I tried using CrazyTalk to create the heads from images with a semi realistic toon style. Did not get the result I wanted (but I am a coder not an artist so...). There is a tutorial that I thought was good however: https://www.awn.com/animationworld/tutorial-take-sketches-finished-3d-characters-iclone

I think you can get with you want with the right morphs and some patience. I have ZERO talent (I mean that -- if it wasn't for these tools I'd be helpless) and I was able to do this in about five minutes in CC3. I suspect with your talent you'd be able to get MUCH better, faster (oh, I *did* cheat a bit using Face Studio to start with, but it was mostly just adjusting the morphs in CC3).

Thats a good start, I've had mixed results using FaceGen & Face Studio and end up with similar results. I think you have answered my question. the level of detail I require is going to have to be done in blender or 3D Coat. No animation or rigging is required apart from the character rotated on a turn table. Oh well.
