Added: Render Log for Standalone Renderer [FT5289]Standard procedure for the Iray Standalone Renderer 1.1 was to automatically close after completing the render task.
Instead of closing down, version 1.11 stays open after render completion and allows the user to save a render log file via the
Show Log button.
Added: Nominal Luminance for Solving Fireflies [FT5258] New
Nominal Luminance option for the render settings. Use
Nominal Luminance to reduce the firefly effect (bright whitish spots that can afflict a render when high powered light sources are used). Lower
Nominal Luminance values equate to stronger suppression of fireflies. However, when this value is too low, then lighting details may be lost in the final render.
Example :
Sample Iterations = 400
Nominal Luminance = Off
Nominal Luminance = 50At extremely low values, light details for high powered lights may be lost.
Nominal Luminance = 5Enhanced: Changes to Sequential Numbering for Batch Renders [FT5446] [FT5662] [FT5679]
Sequential numbering for batch renders in Iray 1.11 resulted in the insertion of the order number in midst of the image filename. This made it impossible for other software to recognize the sequence of the frames. Therefore, for version 1.11, the order number is now inserted to the back of the filename.
Enhanced: Improved Usability for Auto-convert MDL User Interface (Enable/Disable).Before: After:Fixed : Incomplete frames as a result of rendering MI files that contain Speedtrees which go in and out of the camera viewing area. [
FT5613] [
FT5712]
Fixed : Artefacts in the alpha channel for images rendered from projects with transparent backgrounds and Denoiser enabled. [FT5621] [FT5709]Fixed : Closing iClone had the tendency to close the Iray Standalone Renderer as well, if it was called from the iClone application in the first place. [FT5664]Fixed : Batch rendering oftentimes had failed to reach the Stop Criteria when executed from Render Scene > iClone Render. [FT5685]Fixed : Add or removal of the an IES profile from a light had a tendency to reset its Intensity Multiplier to the default value of 1.
