I'm new just getting started and know nothing. I'm really impressed with this software. I will most likely be on this forum a lot considering my complete lack of knowledge. I'm a retired software developer who has always wanted to do animation. Just never had the time. Any suggestions for tutorials or materials will be greatly appreciated. I've never done a lick of animation so this is an adventure.

Task at hand right now is just getting a camera at a reasonable price...………...

Thanks

Hi... Welcome to the forum.

You didn't mention the software you are impressed with. Is it iClone or CrazyTalk Animator? (both support facial mocap).

I would say that you need some sort of field recorder like the Zoom or Tascam for recording hi quality audio separate from your video and use the camera's in built mic (if it has one) as a guide.

It's Crazy Talk Pipeline. Quite a learning curve. It will be a year or more before I'm really comfortable with this app. I'm enjoying learning. The really good news is they supply many, many video tutorials. It's just a hobby for me. I'm a retired software developer who has always wanted to do animation.  Expensive hobby, but; what hobby isn't?
