Hi, I'm the creator of Glycon, a mocap solution for VR. I'm trying to make sure my output data (currently in lock step with the Mixamo rig) is as easy to use as possible, in iClone. But once I've imported my animation in 3DXchage, the Send To iClone button is grayed out. I'm including screenshots and a short animation in case anyone has any ideas. Some of my users are having no problems whatsoever with the software, so I'm at a loss. FBX animation files can be found here: http://chiltonwebb.com/props.zip
Thank you, -Chilton

You are crazy. But sometimes that is the state where amazing things happen. Very interesting solution.

Anyone with VR gear check this out! I've been playing the Window Mixed Reality version of it. Great fun, and useful! So Chilton, use the export from the file menu, or the button in the toolbar. If I recall correctly, that button is grayed out if the motion imported is BVH. Most of never use that button, we just export the motion to iClone. EDIT. FBX. sorry!

When you imported the motion into 3DXchange, did it automatically detect it as Mixamo and convert it?

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your responses. Here's a short video showing what I'm doing. My hope is that someone will look at this, see the moron mashing the buttons out of order, and set me straight.
Thank you for any and all suggestions!

Hi,
Just to say that I'm also stuck with the same problem - so far I've been unable to import mocap data from ipisoft via 3dxchange. I've converted my animation to non-standard and mapped all the bones manually and then when I say 'Convert', it seems ok and tells me please select 'Apply to iClone' to view updated result, but that button is greyed out.
Did anyone with a similar problem ever figure out a solution for this?

Instead of Apply to iClone, you can just export your character with the animation and then load the saved character.

Chilton, You have probably figured this out already but thought I would post a video solution here.
The animation to iclone works well.
