When we get to the point where 'accurate' AND 'affordable' mocap is available, then *digital live sets* will be the way to go. With body, hands, face, lips - all accurately captured via a single hardware sensor, stunning animation performances will take only a fraction of the current time, enabling the 'indie' film maker to produce low cost, high quality results quite quickly.

Please be patient with me ..... I don't always 'get it' the first time 'round - not even the 2nd time! Sad  - yikes! ...

I posted this at around 2pm today and it seems to have generated a lot of interest.

Thank you for the link and I really liked the article.  It brought back memories of the "early" days of computers.

I read the article and I think its spot on, someone with the right skills and a bit of cash is going to start something in their bedroom and clean up, just like happened in garages in the early computer days.

The more I use iclone the more impressed I am with the quality that can be achieved with its native render but I have also seen Unreal Engine and that is something else.  Unfortunately I do not have the skills or the ability to learn quickly enough to take advantage of this so for the moment I am concentrating on improving what I can do with iclone but I think the technology is now there to make real cheap TV.

I do have a question, I saw your latest Blood Pope stuff on YouTube, can you tell me what you used to make it, it looks pretty good, some of it looks real.
