Thank you for supplying more information.
It may be there is a registry issue where the information about your installed content folders has changed in some way.
If you are familiar with the editing of the registry, please check the following:
1) Type "Regedit" in the Search box on your Taskbar and select the "Registry Editor".
2) Navigate to the address below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Reallusion\Shared Data
3) Check the Custom Data folder location is correct.
For example, the default install location is shown below :
"C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reallusion\Shared Custom"
4. Now check to see if there is a space " ", or an additional "s" in the folder name, and correct it if it is wrong.
5. Restart Character Creator 3 and the saving problem should be resolved.
