Dear iCloners,

We opened a new Python Forum for iClone Plug-in Developers, and ALL threads relative to Python will be moved to that forum by the end of 12/26/2019 (EST). If you want to post something about Python API, please post in that forum instead of the iClone General Forum.

Thank you for your kindly cooperation.

Given this is brand new territory for both RL and users, can we expect to see perhaps a bit more dev involvement in that forum, Tony?

There are going to be MANY questions that only a dev or someone in close communication with them can answer, so at least for the initial stage it would be enormously helpful.

Hi Mike,
If I did not misunderstand Tony's post, he meant to move the existing posts about Python into this new Forum section.
To me, it see a a good idea and I do not think it prevents others to post their feedbacks about the new API engine.
Otherwise, if left where it is today, the risk is exactly what you say: a lot of new posts about Python mixed with other uncorrelated posts about iClone.

Cheers

  Roberto

Oh, I understood that -- I was only asking if perhaps on the new forum we might expect a *bit* more involvement from RL's side, given this is uncharted territory for all of us.  This is *quite* different from using a software piece developed by RL, and only they can answer some questions (not about Python in general, but about specifics as they relate to iClone).

Hi Mike,

Yes, you are right. This is exactly the reason why we made a new Forum for Python exclusively.
