You can have lip-sync with either sprite or morph based heads. Please see the Lip-Sync basics tutorial below to get a better understanding of the process. https://youtu.be/h7zoxHzAFaAYou can also create hybrid heads which combine a morph based head with sprite features (see below).

There is no "smooth transmition" between two sprite images if I use sprite based image. I have not get a satisfy result when use morph image. It should be great if we can do lips sync like what live2D did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ6nTQW4u94

You should be able to get smooth results. Can you show the problem you are having? Also you can also use facial mocap with your CTA characters by using Live Face. This does require an iPhone X series phone but this will allow you to get great results.

I tried iPhone X, Live Facial Mocap is great.
The bear is sprite based. And in the image 2 and 3, the lips do not change. What I want is, the lips of the bear could morph from image 1 to 4, just like the man.
