I am wondering if Puppet Producer only works with Adobe products ( which are rented) or does it also work with Affinity Designer. Ken

Hi KenCoon Should ask Ibis. He is a member of the FB group: CRAZYTALK ANIMATOR USERS. Post your query there. Ibis is quite active there.

A plug-in will only work with the tool it was designed to work for. Puppet Producer is a Flash/Animate plug-in.
PS. If you don't want to rent it, you can get an old copy of eBay. It will work just fine.
In terms of affinity designer. It's a basic art tool incapable of exporting in a format suitable for G2. (No SWF, no symbols support, no symbol name instacing). It also has no extendibility support, which means that even if someone wanted to create a plug-in to extend its capabilities, it's defined not to allow that.

I guess I was thinking of SWF support.
