When I start a new scene, none of the camera presets have the aspect ratio I always use in my scenes, and I can't seem to find a way to same my camera settings as a custom preset. In addition, setting the camera aspect ratio and fit render region still doesn't fully update the preview area. I also have to go to render settings and change the frame dimensions twice - once for video and once for the image tab. As soon as I start a new scene, all these settings are lost. It would be nice to be able to SAVE my camera defaults, and iClone would launch to it. It would also be helpful to be able to set preview settings from ONE location, instead of having to go to camera and then to rendering settings.

Can you change your settings, then save the file as a dummy file? Sort of like a default file that you always open first?

That's an idea. Which brings me to another question, this time about CC3 - it starts with a default scene. Can we customize it?

I'll bet you can make a scene the same way and then just access it as a preset.

I was assuming CC3 is loading that scene from somewhere. In this case, editing that scene should do what I want. I just wanted to change a little thing - make the HDRI image invisible, so it doesn't stress my GPU so much. With that image showing in the background, my GPU goes instantly to 50% activity, heating it up, increasing power consumption, and getting stressed even when the program is idle.
By default, iClone starts with HDRI invisible, and I wanted CC3 to start the same way.

In cc3, save your project as a new project in the project tab then right click on it and select default .

I can see a "project toolbar", but it only contains the buttons for new, save, and load projects. There is no right-clicking there. I must be missing something. **UPDATE: Oh, Ok. I've got it now. Save the scene to the Content panel, project section. That does it. Thanks!
