Ah ok,
That "Gen 8 compatible" wording was definitely confusing me.
I managed a silly hack by importing this double mesh into CC and then hiding all the faces of the Gen8 base mesh. It actually resulted in seeing only the robot animating in UE4. But I suspect this will cause other weird problems so I should probably re-map in 3dxchange.
Thanks for your tips

Mike, thanks so much for this thread. I purchased a BioHazard suit for G8M & F. The suit includes several components. I have CC3 Pipeline. However, when I attempt to import through Transformer a G8M wearing just the suit and boots, I receive the failed to find a profile error in CC3.

Right. The usual workaround (which I'm almost 100% will work for this) is to load in ANOTHER Gen 8 male in the same scene. What's happening is that suit is turning off part of the mesh (we would say "hiding the faces" in Reallusion) so it doesn't look like a proper figure to bring in. By loading up another figure (which will take the same exact stance) you fool CC3 and then you just uncheck that first figure upon import. If this doesn't work or you can't figure it out let me know and I'll make a video using this particular costume.

Thanks, it worked fine. BTW, I also have an Astronaut suit from Daz that I've had trouble importing. I tried the same procedure and succeeded in importing it. [In case you ever get a request] Thanks again, Nathan

I'm having an issue during G3 clothing import where there's an offset in the clothing, primarily in the arms and legs: I've tried modifying the gloves using the Edit Mesh function, but I often get "face shredding":

As always I need to know which outfit you are trying (a link to the Daz page is best, but even just the proper name will help).

I don't have any trouble with that outfit. When you brought it in using Transformer, did you select CC3+? And did you make sure the arm stuff was selected as gloves and the feet as shoes? (This happens automatically - I didn't have to change any settings). I can make a video showing you but it was really as straightforward as it gets (the one and only thing I did was use a bit of conforming on various parts, but this is something you always need to do after you bring it in via Transformer).

Oh, no. Let me check those export settings. As I recall, that's what I selected, but I'll export again.

kelleytoons, are you dropping the G3 T-Pose or A-Pose DAZ resource settings on the model?
