Saw this awhile back but it didnt register in my pea brain for awhile .. till today as I was surfing during coffee break..

Anyhow this is benchmarking for render times vs gpu's etc inside yes blender, but the information should be somewhat informative for purchasing if your interested in such things.   (me I purchase what I can afford and upgrade when things get annoyingly slow ^^)

https://opendata.blender.org/query/fastest-gpu

the biggest takeaway from this right now is that the newest generation gpu's 2080ti maxed out are faster then the titan v's
(not by much but if your looking for value for money you might be interested)

Thanks, urbanlamb! Data is always better than speculation.

It's a pity the 1080 Ti is not included. I guess it would be somewhere between the 2080 Ti and the 1070 with Q design (whatever that is).

Overall it seems that the 2080 Ti is not a sound-breaking improvement in this kind of application.

Yeah i just thought the info was good and interesting .. of course they will create a new titan to outperform the 2080ti soon..   they likely have it all ready to go even cause they need to keep us tech addicts hooked Smile
..for now though I am still using the 970 I got when it was like new and the bestest and still not complaining about speeds etc so.. I am good for awhile longer I think.
