Hello folks. Does anyone know of a way to animate glow in Iclone. I am making a disco dance floor and I want parts of it to have changing glowing colour patterns

You can use a video in any of the material slots, including glow, so just create whatever you want (even using iClone for this), save as an MPG or AVI or some such, and use that file in your glow/diffuse channels.

Thanks that is a brilliant sounding idea. I will give it a try. Sorry about the Star Rating, I click the once star by mistake and I was not given the chance to change it tot a 5 star.

Hello again I finally got around to making a simple plane made in 3ds Max with an animated gif image. There was no option to add avi or mp4 files I am not sure what setting to add to my FBX file when I export it but image does not animate in 3ds max, 3d Exchange or Iclone 7 I was looking for some setting that would get the animation working but cant find one yet Help please.

iClone is kind of weird in that it's VERY peculiar about what kind of video files it can use. AVI is okay, so if you can make those in whatever program you are using you should be fine. Popvideo is the only one that always works, but it's an RL proprietary video format and you need the Popvideo app for it (of course). If they supported MP4 it would be great but, of course, they don't.
