I am using an input device called 'SpaceMouse'.
It is the perfect solution for viewport navigation (and other tasks).
It is already directly supported within DAZ.
After i got used to using it, i didn't want to miss it.

That said, would it be possible by any chance, to include support for those devices in RL products?
I see great value and benefit for this within CC and iClone.
If you have DAZ, i can only recommend to try this. It is pretty amazing!

We've been trying to get Reallusion to implement this for a while. My best advice would be to add your voice to the issue in the feedbacktracker:

The more people who ask, the better chance we'll have in getting it implemented.
