I covered this a while back with Blender and iClone with a video; I can't find it for the life of me. For my career, I constantly convert metric to imperial and back on a daily basis, so hopefully, this will help you. I model in metric when it comes to iClone [They use CM, plus it's a lot easier to get the proper scale]. Exporting in FBX ensures a 1:1 scale. So 1 Blender Unit = Iclone Unit = 1 Meter or 100 CM. This allows me to properly follow standards and such when it comes to modeling, so I get a realistic model to scale. I've built modular rooms, apartments, and real life skyscrapers in metric, it's kinda quick to do. You can basically make IKEA furniture in several minutes by following this method. Here's a quick little conversion that has stuck with me 1 CM = 2.54 Inches1 FT = 30.48 CM or .3048 M Apply to your measurements below. So a 12 FT= 365.76 CM and 6 FT= 182.88 CM.
I placed these cubes according to your dimensions as seen below. The one highlighted is at 6 FT. .

Kelleytoons (9/11/2018) There is a (free) ruler in the marketplace, but I couldn't get it to load.
If the ruler was from Toppro77, there is an updated version. Just download it and it works in 7.

Thanks for the attachments. I will look at them on the weekend when I have time to be an animator again.
