It is ironic that while working on a poker table, my friend that runs a poker room just asked me about designing a poker room with 6,000 square feet.

I know there are expensive architectural software made for structurally accurate blueprints, but I was just curious if there is any ruler type tool available so I can set a room to be scaled to a certain height and width and mark tables to be placed about every 12 feet horizontally and every 6 feet vertically.

Also for things like marking where a support column is, or other things.

Thanks

There is a (free) ruler in the marketplace, but I couldn't get it to load.

I'm guessing someone with the right knowledge could create a similar prop nowadays (this prop was very old, for about iClone 4 or so).  Not me.

IIRC, in CC there are measurements of the people, so you *could* import one of those avatars and design a prop around them.

Default iClone measuring system is metric. Again, by default (if not changed in preferences). the floor grid square is 1 meter by 1 meter (100 cm)
A default iClone cube for instance has an exact volume of 1 cubic meter: 1m x 1m x 1m.
You can use those to sort of measure the object size (converting to imperial if needed).
Although just the other day I was thinking it would be nice to have an object size in iClone as well.
In addition in CC they show the character height within info section at the top left.

I found an image of a ruler and a yardstick in a few seconds of searching, so it probably isn't that hard to create one.

Even a long pole or a chain could work (think NFL) as a measuring tool.

Closest I could come in a few minutes (while waiting for something else -- now I'm busy again):

First, verify that the ruler size appears to be correct.
Since the iClone grid (by default) is 1-meter square, an English "foot" ruler should be about 1/3 of a grid length.

Now that you know UV maps, next you'll need to learn something like Blender (free - Yay!) so you can model your own items, and build them to an actual scale.  (Or buy the props somewhere, which is a lot faster.)

iClone 7... Character Creator... Substance Designer/Painter... Blender... Audacity...
Desktop (homebuilt) - Windows 10, Ryzen 9 3900x CPU, GTX 1080 GPU (8GB), 32GB RAM, Asus X570 Pro motherboard, 2TB SSD, terabytes of disk space, dual  monitors.
Laptop - Windows 10, MSI GS63VR STEALTH-252, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 (6GB), 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD

I have installed an uninstalled Blender 3 or more times. IClone actually gives me what I need, which is fast scene creation.

And believe me, buying something is always my first option unless I am just giving myself a lesson in how to do something.

In this scene, I bought a chair for $1 in the marketplace (100 points). Nice thing about digital assets is 1 chair quickly became 11, 1 for the dealer and 10 players.

The best part of this scene so far is the chair:

@4U2 - Thanks for that info about the grid - but you mentioned something I REALLY would like to see!  Hard to understand why there's no easy way to scale a character. When making smaller characters in CC such as children, dwarves, etc I wonder 2 things
1> Why in the HECK is there no height scale in CC2? (Question answered, Thank you!)
2> Will there be on in CC3?
3> WILL the person who borrowed my bicycle pump please return it?Laugh
To the question @hand - It sure would be nice to know the physical dimensions of objects in a scene to scale them for commercial projects and 3D printers!   ~V~
