Though registered some months ago, I have discovered newbie recently, so I also want to say hello to the Iclone community. My name is Maya as that of the software and I live since many years in Germany. Work as painter and costume designer, but have always dreamed for 3D. As a total beginner to 3D modeling and animation, Iclone/CC are the only programs I am learning at present from the wonderfully made tutorials ( many thanks to the iClone Team for that!).
Very nice and helpful people here, I hope some day my knowledge is so good that I can also be of some use to you and give good pieces od advice in developing your projects, as well as share information and experiences around 3D. Shall post the videos I am making in the showcase.

Welcome, Maya! It's always nice to have new members with different backgrounds. I look forward to what you will come up with and hope you will be able to use your costume designing background. There is always need for a diversity in clothing. Would you happen to know what it would look like in the 26th century (that's the period of my current movie project)?

Yes, 3D has been a high level of interest for me for many many years. Eventually discovered iClone accidentally and still love it. Its not totally perfect and has issues, although I often discover it's due to my need for more learning so I can work with how it actually works rather than how I think it should work. Welcome aboard and look forward to seeing your achievements.

Greetings, and WELECOME to the forum, Maya. I've seen some of your posts. I recognize your avatar's hat. As a fashion expert, perhaps you'd like to correct this, but I think the answer to Animagic's question is everyone in the future will wear aluminum foil jumpsuits and coveralls. At least according to some movies.

Thank you animagic, at present I do not knwo how to tailor clothes in CC, neither how to create shoes or boots. I am trying to re-design the 3 or 4 standard pieces of cloths - the templates. The fur I try to "generate" does not look fluffy, and lost of information is necessary to achieve the desired results. How the clothes in the 26- th century shall look like? This is a really serious question. In any case the trend goes to more practical than aesthetic (regarding the mass production). But I think in your movie the characters shall wear beautiful clothes.. is not it so?
