I think the iPhone does more than just basic face tracking. Apple bought Faceshift and that technology is somehow integrated is my understanding. The whole point is that the burden of the processing is on the phone.

Now if someone developed something similar for Android, there might be a chance. Reallusion simply provides the interface to and integration into iClone, but no longer develops Mocap solutions themselves.

Now that the Samsung S10 is out, can you make a port to Android? The S10 has time-of-flight 3D sensors.

It is not just the sensors, it is the underlying face-recognition and processing software, which the S10 doesn't seem to have.

It is hard to find meaningful comparisons as most articles focus on other features.
