Obviously you haven't seen a Disney film (at least the classics). The animation in Snow White, for example, is as realistic as it comes, FAR better than any mocap. Indeed, efforts to do tracing over live motion wasn't nearly as good. Sorry -- you and I just don't see eye to eye.

It's not the kind of animation people would want to see in a game or a movie. I'm still waiting for the realistic example
