I think it is actually a pretty good reason to buy an iPhoneX. It's not like the alternative is whole lot cheaper, and this a complete wireless solution. There is also a possibility of doing your body mocap on the phone at the same time. Granted, that's not cheap, but not that outrageous either.

Imagine a mocap studio in your pocket, and it starts to look pretty good!

Many helmets use rigid rails or a rigid arc off the top. There are certainly lots of DIY options.

Those are good thoughts, Rampa -- and my wife needs a new phone soon, and I was going to get her the X as well (so win-win for me :>Wink.  As I said, I love my phone, think it's so far superior to all the others I have had (I have owned every iteration of iPhone there is, as well as many other Android ones).  So this whole plugin is just really, really exciting to me, even though I own Faceware (if nothing more I think I can do simultaneous captures using both Faceware and iPhone, even without using my wife's new phone <g>Wink.

I'll look for something rigid to make my own solution -- won't have to be too complicated since the phone itself isn't heavy, and they make clamps that fit on tripod ends.
