Never done a fight-scene before...
And i always was stunned with respect by some fight-scenes made by other members of the forum.
My conclusion:
as in real life, blasting around with guns is way easier than a man to man fight ;-)

Any hints/tips to improve my fight-scenes welcome...
By the way, are there "fight-motions" based upon 2 characters?
So kinda character A acts-motion + character B reacts-motion...

Wow! Those characters are absolutely outstanding! Very well done. I like how the loser hits the ground & rolls just right! Nice moves, too. There are 'Assassin Moves' from RL I have that can be used as fight tit-4-tat kind of moves, so you may want to look into those.
Fight scenes are tough - I have a running fight scene I started that is from a scene in 'Resident Evil 6' and duplicating a nearly 4 minute fight scene might take me a year...
Here's MY FIRST attempt @ a fight scene I published not so long ago, take a look  ~V~

Really good, toystorylab. I find it very difficult to coordinate the characters in a fight scene so they both seem to be actually engaged at all times, rather than just waiting to be punched or kicked. You did a good job with that.

Mixamo has a few of the A-B animation clips you asked about, but they still require a lot of tweaking to get them to work.

As far as tips, I have found that adding in a few grunts and groans helps sell the action better. And definitely facial expressions are helpful especially if you can squeeze in a quick closeup or two.

As others (in the german forum) also said there are a few "A-B" fight-motions at Mixamo, will check those...

Here is my second attempt:
