Is that the price? So basically my character is going to be naked if I don't spend money on his clothes?

I have to stay indoors myself because running around in your birthday suit is frowned upon by the general public.

[Edit]
I clicked on the clothes and they were added, so I guess it is not the price.

What does the number mean,. just a catalog number?

Thanks

Maybe I should start a new post for this, but I just exported a character to IClone, and I can't find a way to move him.
How do I move / scale my character, he is stuck half way between floors.

All the right click options for 'Transform' are not there for this object, but they are for a desk, what is different about them?
Thanks

I guess I figured it out, I had to set a bunch of X Y & Z values, instead of just being able to drag and drop the character where I want.

I am sure once I learn this I won't be so frustrated, but now my character is stuck with his arms out. Do I have to go back to Character Creator to put his arms at his side like a normal human?

I figured out the pose. I have to click on Content > Animation Templates > Poses > Idle Pose.

(Click on the picture and it gets bigger).

DataJuggler,

Please believe me, I mean no offense, but it would be time well spent for you to go through some beginner tutorials.
I just hate to see you struggle unnecessarily.

Even if you find "version 6" tutorials, 99% of the "beginner" information will be the same as for iC7.

Some are ones for purchase:
https://www.reallusion.com/iclone/fundamentals-training-video/
https://www.reallusion.com/iclone/tutorial.html

Others are free:
Position and moving props:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EegIEm7w7z0
Character animation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fz1ZVhLNVg
Setting up scenes:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0KSgOy_rI8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WklCBye_gMY

You're clearly making progress, but watching a few of these should help greatly.  Just do some YouTube searches.  Maybe someone will recommend a few others for you.  And of course the community will still be here as-needed.

Good luck, and happy iCloning.

Disregard all my previous comments. If I clicked on the character using the Scene Manager, the options showed up.

Thank you, old dogs are much harder to learn new tricks, especially when you know where the box of treats is kept hidden.

Thinking about it now, what I think I was doing was clicking a character, but the Avatar itself was not selected; only a sub item. Learning something new every few minutes with this stuff.

Carry on with the rest of your evening (or whatever the case may be).

Corby (foot in mouth, looking stupid as usual. No matter how smart I think I am today, tomorrow I will learn something that makes me look like a fool today).

No, no problem.  Really, I'm just trying to help you move forward as quickly and efficiently as possible.

For example, you said "I had to set a bunch of X Y & Z values, instead of just being able to drag and drop the character where I want" it concerned me because you *can* drag props and characters around to place them where you wish.  Granted, "dropping" using a 2D monitor to drop something into 3D space does not always make things land exactly where you intended, but the "transform gizmo" has X/Y/Z arrows to let you move them around.  It also has "planes" so you can move things in the XY, ZY, or YZ plane, so you shouldn't need to actually type in numerical values.

A lot of this stuff is tricky to convey via text, and it takes time to collect screen shots and stuff, and I was concerned I (we) would basically be duplicating information that's already out there.

Again, I'm not trying to shut you down or give you a cold shoulder.  I'm just trying to be helpful, and somedays I'm more successful than others.

Corrected above. 98% of all problems are user error. The other 2% of developers blame someone else.

Ahhh…  Yeah, if you click on one those "cursor mode icons" at the top of the screen, it puts you into that "select sub-object" mode.  I rarely use that (I should probably use it more often), and when it gets in that mode, I always forget how to switch it back to what I consider to be the normal mode.  Seriously, I forget, and it annoys me.

Keyboard shortcuts (but none of them seem to reset the "selection" mode):

Yes, I admit I did do a bunch of blind clicking buttons at the top wondering what would happen.

This is why I don't fly airplanes, drive a car, or operate heavy machinery. My entire skillset and professional livelihood depend on the presence of 'Undo'.

I will look for the select sub items button and turn it off; I am sure I was clicking the jeans, or the shirts, etc. Speaking of which, I am not a fashion expert in anyone's book, but I think male characters deserve more than just boots for shoes.

I will sit back and watch videos and not touch the screen. It is hard for me to be a spectator; I watch for about 3 minutes and try and follow along, and that makes a 12 minute video take a long time.

I am going to ask 1 last question before going off to watch videos. I will ask it in another thread.
