Tell me what to use to create a fire? There is smoke and fire. How to make burning coals? Sometimes sparks ...

For coal use some of the items in the Props>Rock>Nature>G01 folder, darken the Diffuse - and maybe the Blend, maps and adjust the size of each using the Scale Gizmo. You can use 3D Blocks with a wood texture for logs, or just grab some from the Sketchup warehouse - there are even some complete fires available if you do a search. The rest can be done using the Popcorn FX tools.

Don't forget using glow -- this stove just uses a simple glow map on the coals (along with some GI it can produce a real looking fire):

There is a particle emitter called torch you can use to make fire. I didn't like the torch fire particle so I made my own emitters with the shape of a flame for camp fires, fireplaces, etc.
