Hi community,
I had problems with Microsoft latest updates to windows 10. In the last few days and it 's given me a new drive which is E, that, I did not have before and says it needs to free up space. It keeps popping up on the taskbar a lot . It's a phantom drive. I got it sorted doing the command help with typing,CMD
So I hope these pictures will help you too with the phantom drive you don't have and delete it in Windows 10 latest update.
I hope this helps you with the windows10 update and the phantom drive. Peace Gerskey

I've heard of lots of folks complaining that this or that update gives them problems -- never had them. But sorry you did.

The issue with the "new" drive after the last Win 10 update has been widely reported, and a solution is listed here - you need to scroll down a bit to find the drive solution. A list of the "biggest problems and complaints" regarding this update can be viewed here. It is not recommended to delete this drive in any way, but it is at least possible to hide it from Windows Explorer.

I always update win 10 and my Nvidea (GTX 1070 + 1080 on 2 pc's) drivers and never had problems with iClone. So i always wondered so many people had problems or used older drivers for their graphic cards in order iCone runs. BUT exactly this; new drive with annoying alert beeing full, Gersky is talking about did occur (about 2 months ago) Not really a problem but annoying. After two days i searched for solutions and the CMD-trick (remove letter of the new volume) worked immediately...

I wonder why it affects some people and not others? (I have three machines, all update Win 10 automatically, and none of them experienced this). Weird.

Windows 10 Home updates are just dumped on the masses and there is nothing you can do about it. Because of issues with Windows updates, I had Windows 10 Pro installed on my recent laptop purchase. This allows you to set your updates to "Semi-Annual Channel", defined as "ready for organizations". As a result, I'm currently on version 1709. The hope is that sufficient bug fixes will have been implemented that the next version will run smoothly by the time I get it.
