LIVE FACE for LIVE Facial Mocap!
To all CrazyTalk Animator users:
We are here to deliver the new update of CTA 3.3. In this update, you will find a new app called LIVE FACE.
LIVE FACE is an APP for iPhone Face ID (True DepthCamera) that supports Mac and PC CTA 3.3 for 2D animation and custom character design. After setting up the IP connection, CTA3 users can realtime animate cartoon characters’ facial features including; eyeballs, eyes, brows, mouth shapes, and head rotation. Besides generating real-time live shows, users can also record the animated data for further editing.
Beside LIVE FACE, CTA 3.3 also fixed tons of bugs for users to have a better animating experience.

Bugs Fixed

New FeaturesLIVE FACE
An iPhone APP uses Face ID (True DepthCamera) for 2D animation and custom character design. Set up the IP connection to CTA 3.3 and animate facial features including eyeballs, eyebrows, mouth shapes, and head rotations in real time. Generate real time shows and record animation data for further editing.
Zero Pose setup Can be used to initialize the default facial expression unrestricting the setup location with the following benefits: -Freedom to position your iPhone X anywhere you want. -Auto-calibrate painlessly for facial expressions.
Support different Facial Mocap Profiles for both sprite-based and image-based character with front and side facing options.
Support for synchronous facial mocap and audio lip sync. Audio recording requires desktop microphone.

When is version 3.3 planned in German? I'm sorry, I can't access it.The German version is normally a few weeks after the English release. Please keep a check on the German website or forum for the release announcement.

Will you also do LIVE Face for the andoroid-based phone cameras? The initial release is for the iPhone X only due to the camera requirements. However we will continue to evaluate other phones that have a compatible camera.

I am trying with my Samsung grand prime
but
I dont know why CTA 3.3 Pipeline doesn t open the facial mocap panel .
do you know why , it is new ,

Hi danlcort7, you just said it yourself - you've got a Samsung grand prime, but only the iPhone X is supported initially.

Hi sjonesdc - Yes, the LIVE Face on an iPhone X will work with CTA 3.3 on an iMac. I'm not an iClone user, so I don't know about that. Within CTA it is possible, using the Collect Clip functionality, to Export Facial Motion and then reapply that to another character in CTA 3.3. For example:   In Content Manager, the files are saved to Animation > Custom > Face. If you can get LIVE Face motion into iClone, then I expect it would be via these files. I've attached the file which was produced in the first image above (MOCAP facial export.ctFCS) and then applied to the second one for you to try this out in iClone yourself. If you want to install it first into CTA 3.3, drop the unzipped file into this path on your own machine: /Users /Shared/Reallusion /Custom /CrazyTalk Animator 3 Custom /Face /
