I am using iclone and cc. Now I need crazy talk 3D heads to create my own cartoon characters heads in cc.

Can the RL heads get exported from crazy talk pro version or do I need the pipeline version?

Does crazy animator has same 3D head creating options or it is only for crazytalk? I mean if I am spending I should buy animator instead of just crazy talk.

Can you not download the demo on either version to test?

I have Pipeline and it's my understanding that is necessary to create the 3D heads for use in CC/iClone (which is why I bought it).  At the present time I would be *cautious* about buying almost anything from RL (due to all the new stuff coming out).

No, I am not buying anything right now.  I am just finding a solution for the heads. Blender takes a lot of time to create anything and I am not good with sculpting in Blender like I am good with Zbrushcore which cannot export UV mapped textures, retopology model like the main Zbrush.

Well if I can create 2D images in flash, I can turn them into 3D head models. Will make the whole process easy but not worth buying pipeline version of crazy talk when I am not into 2D animation for now. iClone makes 3D animation easy.

So figuring out what can be done about the whole process.

I doubt demo will allow any export at all. There is a contest going on which will give full crazy talk pipeline for the content, I will try that.

Well, you never know until you try (it might be watermarked, but it also might export).

And I do know RL is *really* good about giving refunds if you aren't happy, so there's also that to consider.

The Realistic Human Head package, when installed, is designated as a "Shared Template", so it crossed over all 3 platforms: Crazytalk 8, Character Creator 2, and iClone6,7.
So, if you have the package, and you would like to create a CC character you can tweak, all you do is import the head you like from the following file location: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reallusion\Shared Templates\RL Head\Realistic Human 100
and at that point, you can choose to add just the head or the head and the whole body to customize as you like.  I hope this helps you decide.  ~V~

Hi Famekrafts:

To answer your questions:
Export of heads from Ct8 to IClone 7 or CC 2.xx
only works with pipeline version of the program
An attempt with the trial version would have done nothing
because you could export 10 heads with this version.
(The trail is the pipeline version)
See image
,https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/c570ecad-9115-4975-ac20-5ba4.jpg

Another hint.
There is a comparison table in the software shop for every RL program
Here you can easily determine what program version (standard-per-pipeline) can

Here are the links to Ct8
https://www.reallusion.com/crazytalk/download.html#comparison
https://www.reallusion.com/crazytalk/3d-face-pipeline.html

Does crazy animator has same 3D head creating options or it is only for crazytalk?

No. CTA = 2D; CT8pipleine  2D and 3d
