I wish to add another terrain to my current terrain but the current one gets replaced. How do I go about doing it? Is there a way to change a terrain into a mesh prop, so it can be added over current terrain without replacing it?

Right click on the Terrain and select "Convert to Prop". This does not work for every Terrain provided as Default, but it does work with the items in the "Mesh_Medium" folder.

Hi, unfortunately the conversoin to prop does not work for Height-Map terrains. Long time ago i developed a tutorial to create a decent-texture-quality prop from a Height-Map terrain. It is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Am1Zhfey08ECheers Roberto

Hey Roberto do we need to uv unwrap the mesh inside blender? because when I try applying texture uv coordinates in iclone at the end nothing happens. The texture isn't visible probably because there are no uv coordinates..

No, actually the steps in Blender are just what i described in the tutorial. Perhaps, try first a simple pipeline like: 1. open Blender and export the default cube 2. convert in 3DX 3. import in iClone 4. try to apply any texture on it
The tutorial is based on the 4 steps above, so if you cannot see the texture appearing even for a simple cube, then there is something wrong in the basic process.

Thanks I will give it a try once I am free. For now, I have converted my other scene terrain into a prop just by right clicking and brought into the terrain scene I was trying to convert. and changed all the visual settings. Anything which works.
