Is there a way to access the Modify motion editor or apply a Time Warp to animations that have been imported from 3DXchange?

For example, I have some motions and a humanoid character in an FBX file. I import them into 3DXchange and convert their rig to non-standard. From there, I can apply to iClone the animation clips and collect clip that animation to save the motion to my custom library. However, I am noticing that non of my custom motions have the additional context menu items like the stock motion clips have, such as Modify or Time Warp.

Am I missing a step, or is this not possible whatsoever?

EDIT: I found out that there is the Split action in the context menu that enables all of the other actions I am looking for.
