I'm pretty new to iClone so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I'm using iClone and 3dXchange pipeline to animate Daz Characters so my characters in iclone are in the "non-standard talking character" format. Can I use the Conforming Hair on these types of character in iClone? I see that the hair packs are currently on sale but would like to know if they will work in my pipeline

It is possible to do what you want - with a little bit of work.

Load your character in iClone and then Drag & Drop one of the Hair styles directly on to the character from Windows Explorer. The other method is to place the Hair on a CC character, send this to iClone, select the Hair and save it as such to a custom folder under Actor>Custom>Part>CC Hair.

Hey Wires,

not sure if i missed something but his would not work with DAZ figures,
"non-standard talking character", as the OP mentioned...
At least i would wonder if it works!

My mistake on this. It does not work on Non-Standard characters.

Will it work with CrazyTalk 8 Pipeline?

Since CrazyTalk 8 doesn't support PBR, so users are unable to apply those hairs on the CT8 avatar directly. Instead, the process will be
  1. Put on the hair on character in CC 2 (PBR texture)
  2. Export an iAvatar with CC 1.5 / IC 6.5 compatible (Traditional texture)
  3. Open the iAvatar from CC 1.5
  4. Select the hair, and export it as iHair by File > Export > Selected Object
  5. Apply this iHair on CT8 avatar

Not all CT8 users owned I-Clone or CC.
So it is a waste that CT8 users need is not catered for.
