For iClone 6 I purchased Substance Designer + Super Power 200 (which included tools such as BMI, Decal, etc.)  The substances are .sbsar.  Are the new materials different (more attributes added, like Metallic and Roughness) from the previous pack so that I would need to re-purchase?  I hope not, since this was only 6 mos ago (after iClone 7 was announced)...

Yeah, I'd like to know the differences, if any, as well.

All the Subs are PBR in this new one. The "mixer" is like the Sub as the CC2 clothing Sub. So you can load a colorID map and apply different materials to each color region. Very Handy! Smile The A-B switch looks pretty neat as well.

I bought the substances 200 three month ago and decided to buy the substances 200 PBR version which was bundled in the visual essentials. It would have been nice to get a small discount but I think the Visual essentials bundle is a great bundle at $99.00

The included ones are PBR and the tools listed in Miranda's first post let you convert non-Substance materials into Substance. For me that's worth it.

I debated this for a while.  I have the core tools (Substance Designer/Painter) and the B2M from them (in addition to one from Reallusion).  I also have access to a number of Substances, in addition to the original "Substance 200" (but they weren't PBR).

However, many of the tools here will work inside iClone, and that really adds to the convenience factor.  The "Amplify LUT 200+" is a nice bonus, and I hope the HDRi files are good quality.

BOTTOM LINE... I ordered it tonight.  Now all I need is some "me time" to play with my new toys.

iClone 7... Character Creator... Substance Designer/Painter... Blender... Audacity...
