I try to make the old Mechanic Tool Kit for ICars work in IC 6, did not really got it to work. Is it not functional anymore (new Physics?) ?

I don't have the toolkit but I believe it should work if you switch the physics engine. Read more here: http://manual.reallusion.com/iclone_6/enu/pro_6.0/20_Physics/Dual_Physics_Engines.htmTS

The Mechanical Toolkit does not require physics and will work in iClone 6. The provided instructions are severely out of date. I've posted how to use it some time ago, but I will have to see if I can find it. EDIT: I found the instructions: https://forum.reallusion.com/FindPost302651.aspx.

Thanks, Guys. I have started to build my own Dummies that I can use for my Cars. I guess, that works better for me and i can easily add the Animation to the Perform Menu if I want or use the "friction" to move my wheels in Physics. At the moment I am experimenting wit a Dummy, that let my car drive on a path with steering the wheels by itself following the path using the principles of the Modelcars from Faller on my railroad.

That sounds similar to steering car concept I was working on that was an avatar. The front wheels attached to a four-bar linkage for steering that was controlled by the invisible avatar.

The steering of the iCars is one of the weak points as the wheels are either straight or at one specific angle (+/-). I've ended up using keyframing to adjust the wheels, but a form of automation would of course be better.
