Hi - I'm working through tutorials, and though I have ct3 standard version, I am going through a tutorial for ct2 on basic timeline editing. In this video, the teacher says he uses the "bracket key" to change the alignment of the character to 270 degrees. It occurs at 13:20 in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KnSHMHFvcw

I cannot figure out how to do this. I have selected the character, applied a 3d motion. I have turned the tool off as he does in the video, I'm pressing the bracket key, and the bracket key in combination with shift/command/control, etc... but I cannot figure out how to change the angle of the character.

How do I change the 3d motion angle align of a character? Does this only work in the pro version?

Thanks in advance.

Hi
Welcome.   You will have to select the character on the screen.  Then use the Square Bracket key  "[", and "]"  turn the character to right and left angles in steps.  To flip the character to right or left use the flip tool on the tool bar.(the one with white and black triangle with a line in center.  I will post the interface picture in the evening as I don't have access to software now.

Please note the square bracket key works only with certain characters as some of them may not be having images of all angles.
Thanks.

Thank you for your help. Yes, I was selecting the character on the screen and working with the character the teacher was using in the tutorial. This morning I have tried it using G3 characters and still cannot adjust the angle.

Is it possible this feature doesn't work with the standard version? Is it only pro or pipeline?

I discovered the answer - this option is only available for pro and pipeline versions - thanks again for your help.

As already mentioned, the bracket keys will only work with multi-angle characters line the G2 series. They won't with G3 characters.
