Attached is a screen cap of of CTA2 on the left and CTA3 on the right. The ctScene imports correctly on the left but does not on the right. Do ctSecene files need some special conversion between Versions 2 and 3?

Any ideas why I am getting this message when I try and drag a anything Head, body, character, etc to the stage?

This message comes up for a handful of reasons.
You cannot drag a Head or Body directly to the stage.    You can drag a full character to the stage and then go into composer mode and from there  you can swap the head or body or body parts.
In addition, you cannot mix G3 heads to G1 or G2 bodies and vice versa.  You will need to keep Generation Characters grouped together.   This also applies to motions.
