So it doesn't matter if you bought a pipeline version, pro or standard version pack you get the member price with no update price considerations.
That is good for RL cash flow, but IMO... it isn't fair to loyal customers who purchased previous versions.
That went through my mind as well. Usually there is some distinction in upgrade prices.
If the upgrade price for CT Animator pipeline was $50 less to previous owners than the member price it would be consideration for loyal customers.
As it is, customers or newbs who don't own a previous version of the application are entitled to upgrade pricing and they aren't upgrading.
First time buyers of an application who are members...I can agree with member pricing.
However, members who are updating previous versions of a specific application should have a longer discounts than member pricing.
This type of pricing does cost RL.
I currently own CTA 2 pipeline version and I'm not buying the CTA3 pipeline version.
Why does RL alienate from their customers?
RL could make things better so easy...
RL has all kinds of content they can use for perks with member pricing or upgrade pricing.
RL bundles include incentive content into their new sales packages, why not use the same thinking by including perks for loyal customers and updating customers of previous versions.
This kind of sales practice could be alot of incentive for people, knowing even when they upgraded or bought new products there were incentives for loyalty.
I've bought thousands of dollars in content from RL and it's like starting over every time I buy something.
