alexandra camelia (11/26/2016) Hello, do you know when the .psd template,to be able to use inside CTA3 our characters created in Photoshop will be released?
You can only bring Illustrator assets into CTA3 as G2 character just like before. The new G3 characters are entirely bitmap based. So if you want your AI assets in CTA3 for the G3 characters you have to render out rasterised versions of the characters or indeed the parts of the character that will form the sprite elements of the new G3 characters. All the best

Do you know the max resolutions of raster import in CrazyTalk8 There's a lot of unanswered questions in the documentation and house tutorials. :-)

Peter (RL) (11/14/2016) There is no Flash Template to create new G3 characters, however we will soon have a PSD format template available for use in Photoshop.
Please, could you release something. Content creation/modification has consistently been the most frustrating issue - to me - in every version, about Reallusion products. You already have this content, you could put out a PSD on the default characters, with a small/or no content surrounding it, and then follow up with more documentation later. Thanks

SWF is supported by G3 characters just fine. Its only the hip sprite that requires for odd reason that you a bitmapped image as a starting point. But once you've initiated it with any image, you can just drag and drop any SWF and replace it.

I'm thinking the template isn't as important with G3. I'm already seeing some fantastic work without a template. What I want to see is an easier way to do eyes. I should edit this to say the existing bone templates will suffice, and those who have the G2 template will continue to struggle with it. But eyes, they are integral to a character, and we had an entire thread about how to do them. It should be easier.

Peter (RL) (12/15/2016) UPDATE: The Photoshop PSD templates are scheduled for release with the 3.1 update which is due in Q1 2017. Peter, will the photoshop template also allow for facial elements? Most of the tutorials related to G3 characters, and the free bone characters do not seem to include facial features... Also, will the photoshop import allow for shapes and paths within our photoshop file? Importing hopefully as vector layers instead of raster layers? And finally, will CTA allow for morphing and deforming raster sprites (specifically facial image sprites)? I believe currently it only allows for warping vector sprites...
