Apologies if this is a stupid question, does the dummy template come in a format other than Flash or Drawplus, for example Illustrator or InDesign?

No, it is only available in Flash or DrawPlus formats.

Hi jlittle, thank you very much for the prompt reply.

Really I should have worded my question better, what I'm wanting to know is can the dummy template be supplied in ai or pdf format?
If it was ai format I could edit it directly in Illustrator and then export to SWF for upload in CTA2.
I've never used Flash before and don't own it but I believe that the template can be exported to PDF which can then be imported into Illustrator as before.  As long as nothing is lost in translation then this is something Reallusion could provide with very little effort.
The frustrating thing is I can view the file in Adobe Bridge but can't do anything else with it.

Unfortunately those are the only formats provided at this time.
You could  possibly create your own template in AI.
It would be a lot of work but once done should do the trick for you as long as the AI SWF export is compatible with CTA.
