I am a teacher and want to create a character that will talk in real time, i know that i can pre record a sound bite and incorporate it to make the characters mouth move but I am using a broadcast program X split, and want to have the mouth move when I speak into the mic. Will it pick up my live voice and move the lips or do I have to manually make the mouth move with the mouse?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Essentially Reallusion used to have software that actually did do the type of thing I think you need.  Alas, I don't think it works any longer.  I liked using it every now and again as a tool, but as I said, I don't believe it works any longer.

There is a Free download for it, and if it could be retrofitted, then Reallusion would have the Facial MOCAP LIVE to use with it's character bases.  Not my call of course, and I have no idea if they have even considered it, but if the coding could be established, then it would provide the ability to do what you appear to need.
